Will Smith is working on a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spin-off series. The classic sitcom will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, with a new series potentially making its way to TV around the same time.
The series is said to be developing through Westbrook Inc., a cross-platform holding company started last year by Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. This isn’t the only venture the Smith’s are starting with Westbrook, Inc., as many of their upcoming projects and business opportunities will be in collaboration with this new launch.
The spin-off series isn’t the first of Smith’s involvement with the sitcom that made him famous. Last week, Smith announced a new Fresh Prince-inspired clothing line including athletic wear such as hoodies, tees, sweatpants, socks and a track jacket.
The release date for the spin-off series has yet to be announced.
