Felicity Huffman Begins Her Community Service

Felicity Huffman has begun her court-mandated community service.

The actress was seen leaving the Teen Project building in Los Angeles on Sunday, where she was  starting her required 250 hours of community service.

The actress, who was released from prison for her part in the college admissions scandal, is set to begin completing her required community service. Huffman admitted that she had a role in the college admissions scandal when she formally pleaded guilty. The star admitted to paying $15,000 to help her daughter, Sophia, gain acceptance into colleges by having her SAT scores corrected.

Huffman has since completed 11 days in prison and is also on one year of supervised release. She is also expected to pay a $30,000 fine in addition to the community service hours she will have to complete.

In a statement made in April, the Desperate Housewives star made a public apology.  “I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions,” she wrote. “I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community.”
