While on board a Korean Air flight from Vietnam to South Korea, 80s heartthrob Richard Marx helped subdue and violent passenger.
Marx stepped in when the cabin crew appeared unequipped to handle such an unruly passenger. His wife Daisy Fuentes captured photos and video of the incident, which happened about an hour and 40 minutes after takeoff.
Fuentes describes how the crew had clearly not been trained to use the stun gun and rope that they had onboard to subdue the man, who was yelling and cursing in Korean.
“This went on for FOUR hrs,” Fuentes said on Instagram. “I feel horrible for the abuse the staff had to endure but no one was prepared for this. They never fully got control of him. They didn’t know how to use the taser & they didn’t know how to secure the rope around him (he got loose from their rope restraints 3 times).”
As of yet, no videos have been posted to her social media accounts. Marx, however, took to Twitter to speak on his involvement. He did not want to call himself a hero, and said he “just did what I would hope anyone would do in same situation.”
