Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Spotted Filming ‘Ballers’ With Russell Brand

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was spotted in downtown Los Angeles filming his hit HBO show Ballers alongside Russell Brand.

DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON & RUSSELL BRAND SEEN FILMING BALLERS

The actors were seen on a balcony in L.A. on set of Ballers, though it is unclear if Brand, 42, was filming a guest spot or just visiting Johnson, 45. The Brit donned his usual rocker attire, while Johnson sported a fancy blue suit and crisp lavender button-down. He also rocked faded sunglasses and a gray five o’clock shadow. Brand’s black leather jacket featured diamond stitching.

Season three of Ballers is now available to stream on HBO. After filming its first two seasons in Miami, the show has relocated to California. The move was solely to take advantage of the state’s expanded tax incentive program. The show was approved to receive $8.3 million in tax credits for shooting 10 episodes in California. A spokesperson for the show confirmed the decision in 2016.

“In evaluating the production resources, and its evolving story lines, the producers have decided to relocate the base of production to California,” the channel said in a statement. “We would like to thank the city of Miami and state of Florida for their help and support in making the first two seasons of Ballers a great success. HBO hopes to return to Florida to film in the future.”

Meanwhile, Brand recently married his second wife, actress Laura Gallacher, in August 2017 after the couple welcomed their first child, Mabel, in Nov. 2016. He was previously married to pop singer Katy Perry.

The comedian also recently opened up about his relationship with God and how he changed his views on religion to fit his lifestyle. “My route to spirituality comes through addiction, so it comes from desperation and fear and this sort of defeat, destruction, annihilation of self in a very humiliating way, I suppose,” he told Relevant Magazine last October. “I had no choice but to embrace spiritual life, but now I am grateful for this. It makes sense of my life.”
