Donald Trump: “I Wouldn’t Say I’m A Feminist”

President Donald Trump has announced that he is not a feminist, but supports all people.

“I wouldn’t say I’m a feminist. I mean, that would be, maybe, going too far. I’m for women. I’m for men. I’m for everyone. I think people have to go out … and they have to win,” Trump told British journalist Piers Morgan in an ITV interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, “And women are doing great, and I’m happy about that.”

Trump has continued to deny the claims made by 19 women who went on the record saying he touched or kissed them without their permission. Since his 2016 “locker room” video in which Trump told television host Billy Bush that his celebrity meant women let him grab them “by the p—y,” to the Trump administration’s views on abortion and the gender pay gap, he has become a central focus in Women’s marches of the past few years.

When Morgan asked if there are comments Trump has made about women that he regrets, the president responded, “Well, I think we have to evolve. If we don’t evolve, there’s something missing. But I have tremendous respect for women. And I think you know that very well because you know me because you’ve spent a long period of time with me. You see all of the women I have working around me and working with me. Tremendous respect for women.”

After the interview, which took place Friday but aired Sunday, Morgan tweeted, “BREAKING NEWS: President Trump has declared he is NOT a feminist.”
