Chrissy Teigen shared with a fan on Instagram that she is now four weeks sober. After Teigen posted an upbeat video of herself dancing to “Good Morning” from the film Singing’ In The Rain, a fan commented: “I need whatever drugs you’re on.” Teigen responded to the fan stating that she is four weeks sober, her comment receiving over 5,000 likes and received congratulatory remarks from her followers.
The former model has spoken out about struggles with addiction in the past, admitting to Cosmopolitan that she was drinking “too much” at one point in her career and noting that she feels better when staying away from alcohol.
“Nobody really brought it up to me. They just assumed that it was ok because I always felt ok the next morning. I knew in my heart it wasn’t right.”
This comes after Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, announced that they had lost their child due to complications from her pregnancy. The two shared over social media that they were feeling “the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.”
