Celebrities Team Up With Aerie To Raise Money For A Charity Of Their Choice

Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and singer-songwriter Rachel Platten all designed clothes with the clothing line Aerie to raise money for their charity of their choice.

Shahidi worked with the company to create a white sweater with the word “strive” written in cursive. She has decided to put 100% of the sales towards the Innocence Project, a cause that works to free the staggering numbers of innocent people who remain incarcerated.

Raisman designed a black one-piece with the word “survivor” printed across the front. She also considers herself a survivor after being one of the many victims in the Larry Nessar sexual abuse case. She is striving to bring awareness to her #FlipTheSwitch campaign, a movement that helps combats sexual abuse against child athletes.  One hundred percent of her sales will go to the Darkness to Light charity which helps in “empowering adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse through awareness raising, education, and training.”

 

Platten created a plain white tee which the words “making waves” written on it to raise awareness for I Am THAT Girl Campaign, which gives “girls the tools they need to lead today with confidence + compassion.” All the profit made from her shirts will go directly to the campaign.
