Camila Cabello‘s performed as Saturday Night Live’s musical guest for the first time. The former Fifth Harmony member took the stage during the 45th season’s third episode, featuring host David Harbour. Cabello performed songs off her upcoming second solo album, Romance.

Cabello has had quite a year as she has been preparing for the release of her latest album. The singer made headlines over the summer after news of her relationship with long-time friend, Shawn Mendes surfaced. The two singers collaborated on the single, “Senorita,” and released a music video that originally created speculation about the nature of the two’s relationship. The pair performed the song during the MTV Music Awards and the song climbed to the number one spot in August, marking Cabello’s second song to reach number one.

Cabello started hinting at her new album on Sept. 1 and has since released four promotional singles for the project including “Liar” and “Shameless.” She released “Cry For Me” and “Easy” in October, with the latter reportedly being inspired by her relationship with Mendes.

Cabello fans were overjoyed to see her perform as the musical guest on SNL and many took to social media to share their excitement.
