Amy Adams To Star In New TV Series ‘Sharp Objects,’ Based On Gillain Flynn’s Novel
Award winning actress Amy Adams is returning to the small screen in the new television series Sharp Objects. The show will be an adaptation of Gillian Flynn‘s first novel before Gone Girl.
The show has been in the works for a few years and will be under the direction of Marti Noxon.
Adams’ role in the show will be the novel’s protagonist, reporter Camille Preaker. The character is forced to return to her hometown while a supposed serial killer is on the run. While there, she is forced to confront her past demons, her controlling mother and a recent stint in a psychiatric hospital.
The story is a physiological whirlwind of emotions that fans of Gone Girl will appreciate.
Sharp Objects will be Adams’ first starring role in a TV show. The actress has shined in her credible roles in Doubt, The Fighter, The Master and American Hustle.
