Bad Girls Club New Orleans

Bad Girls Club Season 7 aired Monday introducing seven new deranged women who take pride in calling themselves "bad girls." Every season is based on the same principle: assembling a group of mentally unstable, alcoholic, fame-whoring people in desperate need of anger management to live under one roof, and then feeding them absurd amounts of booze. For the past two seasons, the Club has kicked off with a season premiere featuring an extremely chaotic scene that usually ends with a violent confrontation. This season, we are given a quick glimpse of total violence and chaos: everyone is throwing punches while one cast member walks around with a face full of blood, a consequence of throwing a bowl of cereal on a sleeping cast mate. We see the police struggle to break up the mayhem, which is somewhat unusual on Bad Girls – security guards normally diffuse the situation and separate the contentious women; police involvement is unwanted by the show's producers. Suddenly, the words “17 Days Earlier” appear and the show rewinds to the girls arriving peacefully at their mansion.
The house is beautiful and from the outside, looks like the typical 19th century plantation mansion. The house this season is edgier, darker, sexier, and the confessional looks like a champagne room at a strip club with a stripper pole in the middle of the room. I do think it's a little weird that each of the girls has a voodoo doll of themselves in the house. Don't forget the fridge is totally stocked to the brim with booze – beer, liquor, wine, you name it!
So the liquor continues to flow on the raucous reality show as these seven volatile women take over a Big Easy mansion. But most of this new bunch gets so boozy so fast, any charisma they might have previously possessed is lost. First, we meet Judi, also known as "the voodoo vixen," and suddenly the house doesn't look as great anymore. While every member of the Club is mentally unstable and delusional, Judi takes this to a whole new level. Within minutes of arriving, Judi finds the one life-sized voodoo doll that I’m pretty sure she thinks is a real person and she'll fight anyone who tries to touch it. Judi is this season's biggest train wreck. Angelic ("The Bronx Bombshell") says she is a go-go dancer, but judging from her home videos, she is just a normal stripper. Angelic is feisty and gets angry when the other girls call her the "baby" (she's the youngest of the seven). Although intent on proving herself as the baddest bitch in the house, she does not strike me as especially despicable. Tiara is the "goofy gangster" from Houston, Texas, and hasn't got into it with anyone just yet. Nastasia is from Sacramento, and although they tagged her as "The Powerhouse" she is the motherly figure who tries to stop the violent sociopaths from attacking each other as best she can. Priscilla is "The Staten Island Spitfire" and while she appeared to be the most down to earth girl in the house, in that brief glimpse of upcoming chaos 17 days later, she's the girl that gets cereal poured on her and the one responsible for her cast mate's bloody face. Tasha is from Miami and labeled as "The Posh Princess." She claims she won't go anywhere where she isn't VIP, because she's just that classy.
There is Shelly from St. Louis, an intimidating lesbian chick – "The Lady Killer" – who proudly proclaims all of her friends thought she was a huge bitch when they first met her. She gets into a nasty fight with Judi after hearing enough of Judi's nonsense and even throws a few punches. Judi annoys everyone with her schizophrenic behavior, but when they find out Judi secretly spit in their pizza, everyone wants to throw a few punches at the voodoo vixen. It's the house vs. Judi in this season's premiere and I'm betting my money on Judi that she will be the first to leave the house. Never on the Bad Girls Club has the original seven stayed together for the entire season.
With every new season of the “Bad Girls Club” the violence and insanity only increases and the show's horrible reputation caused a great deal of controversy during the filming in New Orleans. Only three weeks into filming, the cast members were banned from at least eight local bars and clubs. TMZ reported that the Big Easy night spots in question informed producers that the cast and crew weren't welcome in their establishments and according to one club promoter, it’s all because the clubs "don’t want to be associated with the show’s bad image." An employee at The Metropolitan Night Club told TMZ that several cast members were turned away from Pierre Thomas Big Mardi Gras Throwdown because "they’re trashy and our club is classy."
Overall the first episode of season 7 proved to be very entertaining in that typical “these girls are all completely out of their minds” way that has become so familiar when it comes to this series series. Be sure to check out the Bad Girls Club New Orleans every Monday at 9/8c on Oxygen.
