Britney Spears Jets To Hawaii With Boyfriend Sam Asghari To Celebrate Her Birthday

After months of legal battles over her conservatorship, Britney Spears and her boyfriend Sam Asghari escaped to Hawaii for an early birthday celebration and vacation.

The pop icon turns 39 on Dec. 2. Under a set of pictures in Maui posted to Instagram, she captioned, “Felt like a little trip to paradise for an early birthday celebration.” In another post, she wrote, “I’m doing that whole work on yourself thing at the moment.”

Britney has made headlines lately because of the ongoing battle over her conservatorship against her father, Jamie Spears. The singer wants to remove her father as a co-conservator of her estate, which would let her regain control over her life and property.

Her father has been fighting back, arguing that Britney isn’t capable of running her own life and financial matters yet and that the fortune she has now is the outcome of his management of his daughter. Last week, a judge declined to rule on Britney’s lawyers’ efforts against her father’s claims.

The next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16. Between then and now, Britney intends to get some much-needed rest and relaxation with her boyfriend.

Asghari, 26, is an Iranian-American personal trainer turned model from Los Angeles. He and Britney met in 2016 on the set of the music video for Britney’s song “Slumber Party.” The pair finally appeared on the red carpet together in 2019 at the premiere of Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

The pair were pictured outside a private plane, ready to jet off to Hawaii. Because of current COVID-19 travel restrictions, the two have to either quarantine for 14 days after arriving or test negative 72 hours before traveling.
