Lenovo Tab 4 (10-Inch) Review: Affordable Yet Dependable

Lenovo has a proven record of building venerable Android tablets, and their latest creation, the Tab 4, continues their legacy. Promising versatility for the whole family was the mission behind this device, so how well does the Lenovo Tab 4 10-inch measure up?

LENOVO TAB 4 10-INCH REVIEW

This Tab is built with a 10.1-inch screen, offering a 1280 x 800 resolution that supports many viewing angles. While more sophisticated displays exist in the marketplace, the Tab 4’s display is more than enough to stream your favorite television shows and movies. It’s portability is empathized by its lithe dimensions and weight — 9.7 x 0.3 x 6.7 and 506 grams, respectively — so you can easily use it on the go or at home. Plus, CNET’s testing determined the battery will last up to 11 hours.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 64-bit quad-core processor fuels the device, and CNET’s reviewer noted how she experienced no lag when streaming or web surfing, though it did have trouble running certain video games. Only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage is included, although you can append extra memory thanks to the microSD slot. Moreover, an audio jack port also rests on the device.

Given its focus on being a machine for the family, all members of yours can create their own account on the Tab 4. Moreover, the Tab 4 accounts for standard tablet features, such as Bluetooth and 4G functionality.

Ultimately, the biggest asset the Tab 4 has in its favor is it affordable price: $179.99. While it overall isn’t top of the line, you couldn’t ask for a more accessible tablet than Lenovo’s Tab 4. You can purchase the family-friendly tablet in slate black or polar white.

Furthermore, additional packages can be bought to enhance aspects of the Tab 4; the Kids’ Package augments your tablet with various child-proof accessories, the Home Assistant Pack incorporates Amazon’s Alexa and the Productivity Pack endows your partner with all of the strength it needs to fervently aid you in your work. The latter notably comes with a Bluetooth keyboard, which also functions as a protective sleeve and a stand. It’s also pertinent that the Tab 4 will be compatible with Lenovo’s forthcoming Home Assistant dock.
