Acer Chromebook 11 C771
Acer’s Chromebooks are about to gain two new members this month in the Acer Chromebook 11 C771 and C771T. Taking after the Chromebook C731, the new models will launch later this month with the goal of combining durability and affordability.
The Chromebook 11 C771 and its touchscreen-endowed counterpart, the C771T, will formally mark the beginning of school. If you or someone you know will require a laptop for upcoming academics, you should keep an eye on these products.
A flexible 180 degree hinge will cap off the C771’s 11.6-inch screen, which will span 1,366 x 768 pixels. Plus, a rubber band-esque protective substance protects the machine from abuse. Thankfully, the keyboard will preserve itself, as its design prevents any wayward liquids from coming into contact with its internal components. Ergo, while you should be careful as to not spill your drink over your computer, the C771 should survive such troubles.
Notably, sixth generation Intel Core and Celeron processors power the device, which will also contain 4GB’s worth of RAM. Additionally, a microSD card input, an HDMI port, a USB-C port and two USB 3.0 ports decorate the laptop, and you’ll be able to utilize them for a considerable amount of time, as the battery will last for roughly 13 hours.
With these specs, the C771 and its touch-enabled sibling are hoping to provide a fast, durable laptop with which kids can learn. The standard Acer Chromebook 11 C771 will cost $280, whereas the C771T will sell for $330.
Moreover, two additional iterations will arrive in September bearing Core i3 and Core i5 chips. More details regarding those versions will come at a later date.
