Petra Nemcova, one of the most recognizable faces in modeling, has been working in the industry since 1995 but won global recognition after landing the 2003 cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
The Czech-born Nemcova has since been featured in campaigns for Victoria’s Secret and Cartier. In 2004 she survived the Asian tsunami in Thailand while on vacation with her fiancée, who was lost in the disaster. In 2006, Nemcova founded the Happy Hearts Fund, a charitable organization that aims to rebuild schools and lives in areas where natural disasters have struck. Despite her charitable work, Nemcova remains a fashionista at heart always packing wearable dresses when she travels. “For me personally because I’m a gypsy and I travel all the time it's a [dress] that doesn’t wrinkle,” she told Uinterview exclusively.
