A Single Shot, premiering at The Tribeca Film Festival, gives Sam Rockwell the chance to shine as a leading man and allows his acting talents to emerge from the shadows.
Rockwell plays an outdoorsy fellow who accidently shoots a woman dead while out hunting for dear in the aptly titled film, A Single Shot. Accidentally stumbling upon a large amount of cash, he becomes a wanted man by a guy who’s been actively searching for the loot.
The 44-year-old actor gave scene-stealing performances in Iron Man 2 and Seven Psychopaths. He’s also long been catching the eye and favor of critics with his starring roles in independent films, but A Single Man might just launch him firmly into a spot on the film industry’s A-List.
David M. Rosenthal is directing the picture that also stars William H. Macy, Kelly Reilly, Jason Isaacs and Joe Anderson.
