Ludacris is set to open the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival with a live performance after the world premiere of the Saturday Night Live documentary, Live From New York!

Ludacris To Perform At Tribeca Opening Night

Live From New York!, directed by Bao Nguyen, makes its debut on opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival Wednesday, April 15. The film will kick off the festival at the Beacon Theater, followed by a performance by Ludacris, who is currently promoting the massive hit Furious 7 as well as a new album, Ludaversal.

Live From New York explores how SNL head Lorne Michaels built his comedic empire and features interviews with past guests, musicians, cast members and crewmembers. The film is showing three times throughout the Festival.

“This year’s Tribeca Film Festival is a true celebration of the convergence of music and film and Ludacris is an artist who embodies that cultural collaboration,” said EVP of Tribeca Enterprises, Paula Weinstein.

“Appearing on Saturday Night Live – both as a host and a musical guest – were some of the most thrilling moments of my career…. I’m excited to be a part of this premiere and the Tribeca Film Festival opening night. As a storyteller through music and acting, it is especially meaningful for me to participate in an event that is centered on spotlighting great stories,” said Ludacris.
