Ryan Gosling And Guillermo Del Toro Kick Off SXSW

Ryan Gosling is kicking off South By Southwest on Friday with a conversation with director Guillermo Del Toro.

Lost River

Gosling is currently promoting the release of his first film, Lost River. The film itself won’t be showing at the film festival, but no doubt fans will get to hear Gosling talk about his inspiration for his first feature, which he also wrote. Hopefully the actor will also dish on what the filming was like behind the scenes – the film stars his girlfriend, Eva Mendes.

The conversation between the two filmmakers will cover Gosling’s career and his career shift from actor to director. Unfortunately for fans unable to attend SXSW, the conversation between Gosling and Del Toro will not be streaming live.

Lost River stars Mendes, Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Matt Smith and Ian De Caestecker. Gosling’s directorial debut opens in New York, Los Angeles and online on April 10.
