"Comfortable, classic and fresh." That's the tag line for interior-designer-turned-television-star Nate Berkus' collaboration with the Home Shopping Network. Berkus, who rose to fame after becoming one of Oprah Winfrey's favorites, offers stay-at-home shoppers his signature design styles at an affordable cost. His HSN work includes wall decor, rugs, candles, candle holders, blankets, throws, decorative pillows and one of his first forays into furniture design.
"I finally did what I’ve been trying to do for years, travel around to different countries and cultures to assemble easy SETS of accessories for your nightstand, bath and living room side tables (any surface really) that feel finished, layered and collected over time," Berkus, 40, worte on his HSN blog. "The guesswork is over!"
For the past several years now, the Berkus collection at HSN has expanded to include Egyptian cotton, 500 thread count pillowcases and funkier pieces for contemporary homes, like metallic poufs and glass top tree tables. The media star has options as low as $7.00 on sale for HSN, with his pricier furniture designs available for up to $600.00.
Berkus fans who can't get enough of his HSN collaboration can invest in a more thorough Berkus experience by recruiting his Nate Berkus Associates design team, based in Chicago. The decor aficionado's 2005 book, Home Rules: Transform the Place You Live into a Place You'll Love, is available for do-it-yourself decorators, while fans can catch him lighting up the small screen on his namesake television show for NBC.
