It all started in 2005 when pop singer and budding actor Justin Timberlake partnered with long-time friend Trace Ayala to redefine American denim. A combination of the two entrepreneurs' grandfathers' surnames, William Rast, emerged at Los Angeles Fashion Week in 2006 as the new denim kid on the block. The brand offers versatile denim looks — from the sleek to the badass — and now includes full collections for men and women (aviators and race cars included).
Women can stock up on signature skinnies in an assortment of washes, loose cotton tees, sharply tailored blazers and biker-inspired leather booties to complete their California cool looks. Prices run upwards of $400 for William Rast footwear for women, but also includes moderately-priced knits, starting at $38.00. Guys, on the other hand, can expect to spend almost $200 for straight, skinny or boot cut jeans, or splurge on one of two $600 leather jackets. Plus, there's an array of unisex eyewear, all priced at $95.
While there are no Wiliam Rast flagships outside of California or Florida, fans of the sartorial set can purchase merchandise from Revolve Clothing, Nordstrom, ShopBop and the William Rast site.
