Despite the fact that she does not meet the age requirements set by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Kylie Jenner, 14, will still walk in Avril Lavigne's fashion show during New York Fashion Week. Kylie, who is the half-sister of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Lavigne's boyfriend Brody Jenner, is an aspiring model and is not going to let a little thing like, say, the rules stop her.

Not that they could, anyway. The minimum age limit of 16 cannot be strictly enforced, says Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA. It is more a recommendation than a law. “The CFDA Health Initiative guidelines are suggested recommendations put forth for the industry," Kolb told Fashionista. "The latest version has been distributed widely. We are not in a position to police or enforce these recommendations. We can only hope that they are followed and taken seriously and are happy that so many in our industry are acting responsible.”

There are no strict rules — just suggestions. Another suggestion is that models bring identification to prove they are of age, but since it's apparently fine to bend these flimsy rules, why bother?
