‘Batman V Superman’ Cast To Make Appearance At Comic Con, More From Warner Bros.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is aiming to make a big impression on 2015’s Comic-Con, with appearances from stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Jesse Eisenberg.

Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg To Attend Comic-Con

Warner Bros., the studio behind the highly anticipated sequel to Man of Steel, will host a panel in SDCC’s biggest room, Hall H, on Saturday, July 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Official details on the panel have not been released, but given the fact that Warner Bros. debuted a few seconds of footage form the film at last year’s event, the studio will have no choice but to step up their game if they really want to surprise fans.

This week, Warner Bros. released brand new photos from Batman V Superman, a full week ahead of Comic-Con. The photos give fans a glimpse at Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Affleck as Batman and Bruce Wayne, but also could be seen as a tease of what’s to come in San Diego. Last year, Man of Steel and Batman V Superman director, Zack Snyder, brought out Cavill (Superman), Affleck and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), but the three actors appeared on stage simply to smile, wave and take a quick photo before leaving. Hopefully this year, if they are already releasing photos from the film, DC and Warner Bros. will have a bit more to offer.

Warner Bros. confirmed on Wednesday that Snyder, Affleck, Cavill and Gadot will be returning to Hall H this summer. Moreover, they will bring fellow cast members, Eisenberg, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Holly Hunter (who is credited on IMDB as ‘US Senator’) and Jeremy Irons (Alfred).

Of course, Warner Bros. have many other films to tease during their panel, including Man of Steel spin-offs Suicide Squad and the already announced Justice League film. Suicide Squad is currently in production, but it’s doubtful that main castmembers, like Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith, will be completely absent from the event. Furthermore, Batman V Superman is also meant to launch the characters of Arthur Curry/Aquaman, as played by Jason Momoa, and Barry Allen/The Flash played by Ezra Miller, so perhaps those two actors will make a surprise appearance.

Warner Bros. stated in their press release that Batman V Superman, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (also starring Cavill) and Pan will be the headliners of the event, so who knows how many Suicide Squad or Justice League members will be in attendance. Confirmed from Pan are Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Levi Miller and director Joe Wright. Cavill will take the stage again to promote The Man from U.N.C.L.E. with co-stars Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki and director Guy Ritchie.

Outside of Hall H, Batman V Superman will still have a large presence at the fan event. Batman V Superman is debuting new toys at the convention, including new Cavill and Affleck-inspired action figures and a special edition Batmobile Hot Wheels toy.

With Marvel Studios absent from Comic-Con this year, fans expect Warner Bros. and DC to take advantage of their lack of competition and make this year one to remember.
