Psych chose to debut a new season 8 trailer, and much more, at Comic Con this year.

USA Network’s crime/comedy kicked off the Psych celebrations early last night when they premiered a special trailer of ‘Psych: The Musical’ – an exciting television event that will premiere on Sunday, December 15 – last night as a secret event.

Looking at the trailer, fans can expect lots of singing and dancing from the show’s main cast, including James Roday and Dule Hill (who is also a tap dancer).

The cast continued to dish on the musical episode at the panel today. Hill and Roday even reportedly sang an acapella version of a song from the musical special for the lucky audience in San Diego.

At the panel, it was revealed that Roday will be writing ‘A Nightmare on State Street,’ a story line fans voted to have appear in season eight.

Psych also premiered a special new trailer for it’s upcoming season – and had Roday and creator Steve Franks join twitter during the panel!
