In preparation for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 panel on Friday, Sony released a teaser for the event, giving fans the first footage of Jamie Foxx as new baddie, Electro! The short trailer focuses solely on Electro – with no other characters making appearances, and ends with a tagline that reads, "Electro Arrives July 19 Hall H 4:00 P.M."

Could this mean Foxx, who, like co-stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, is not scheduled to attend, might make a surprise visit to the panel? Let's hope so!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release May 2, 2014.
