If director Rupert Sanders’ 'Snow White and the Huntsman' is any indication, the trend in fairy tale adaptations is 180-degree reinvention. Here, our little Miss White has thrown down her wooden tasting spoon in favor of brandishing a sword instead. Also, harking back to the Grimm Brothers’ warped perception of the fairy tale, Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen oozes with disturbed fear. Hopefully Kristen Stewart's blade-wielding proves to be an enthralling change from the ultra-feminine Snow White cliché we’ve come to know so well.
