Roku’s array of smart televisions continues to grow, with the latest TCL P-Series Roku Smart TV offering an excellent option to prospective buyers.
Currently, the only version of this Roku Smart TV on the market is 55-inches, with 50-inch and 65-inch options forthcoming. However, the screen quality is remarkable, portraying a diverse pool of colors. And, according to Roku, their latest window to entertainment harbors the following features:
The television’s design is functional. While it won’t win any aesthetic awards, its looks are adequate. Its chrome-colored legs are probably the most fetching detail.
Roku’s TV enjoys user-friendly menus. You’re given custimization options in referencing your attached devices, from pre-made icons and names to the ability to name them yourself. You can customize the order of your apps, too. Ultimately, the only true issue here is how one-third of the menu screen is often covered by an advertisement.
As for the apps themselves, this Roku TV features compatibility with the numerous apps that are already functional with Roku devices. The list includes many well-known services, including Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, YouTube and more. Moreover, the Roku TV can take full advantage of these services’ best performances — if they can offer playback in, say, HDR or 4K, it will be rendered as such on your set.
As shown above, the remote that controls the TV sacrificed an abundance of buttons to instead supply a swift pad to maneuver through the menus. The headphones allow you to enjoy the audio privately. It can also be used to work with the voice search feature, which is a nicety, even if it isn’t as sophisticated as Amazon’s Alexa. Additionally, the side of the TV houses a remote finder button. Pressing it causes the remote to emit a very audible noise.
The TCL P-Series Roku Smart TV is an overall recommended choice.
