In last Thursday night’s episode, Law Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) received a call from her boyfriend Nate’s (Billy Brown) wife Nia. Nia (Enuka Okuma) is dying of advanced ovarian cancer, and begs Annalise to end both her and her husband’s suffering by killing her. Nia says she knows Annalise is capable of murder because she has done it before.

Annalise tasks Michaela (Aja Naomi King) with handling Caleb’s (Kendrick Sampson) trial and with finding out if Caleb and his stepsister Catherine (Amy Okuda) are engaged in an incestuous relationship; she tells Michaela to use her femininity to her advantage.

Meanwhile, Annalise is also defending Zoe Mitchell (Sammi Hanratty) in a case in which the latter is accused, along with another girl, of killing her best friend Rachel by stabbing her multiple times. Zoe initially appears heartbroken and claims she loved Rachel and wanted no part in her murder, but the prosecution writes her off as a sociopath who needs serious psychiatric treatment.

Laurel (Karla Souza) uncovers a video of Zoe and another girl named Molly (Virginia Gardner) laughing and joking about whom to kill next after Rachel. Despite Annalise’s order to delete it so that they can commit to their goal of defending Zoe and winning the case, Connor (Jack Falahee) vehemently disagrees and leaks the video to the prosecution. After the video is shown in court and Molly testifies, Zoe loses control, screams at her, and threatens her, which leads to her removal from the court by security. Annalise also accuses Connor of killing her husband, but Connor angrily says it was Wes.

Wes (Alfred Enoch), on his part, is gathering more information about Rebecca’s (Katie Findlay) mysterious disappearance, including the possible involvement of a woman named Sabrina Mancini. Wes claims that Rebecca’s body is at Strathaven Cemetery, where Sabrina’s brother works, and reports this to Nate. Bonnie (Liza Weil) confesses to killing Sam.
