The Fashion Police tackle the high fashion of the 2016 Grammy Awards red carpet.
Grammy winner Taylor Swift wore a custom made Alterier Versace gown which consisted of an orange crop top and flowing pink floor-length skirt.
Although a fan of Taylor herself, Brad Goreski was not loving this look. “If you’re going to have Versace custom make you a gown, make something that hasn’t already been worn or created,” Goreski said.
Giuliana Rancic thought the dress was “classic Taylor Swift” and one of her best looks. Altogether they completely agreed that her performance one-piece outfit was stunning.
Swift’s date for the night, Selena Gomez, wore a Calvin Klein navy blue sequin gown. Rancic was obsessed with it. Rancic thought Gomez looked gorgeous and was “just feeling herself all over this red carpet.”
However, NeNe Leakes thought she looked as if she were at prom or in a pageant.
Beyoncé approached the stage to announce Record of the Year at The Grammys wearing a dress from a bridal collection.
Melissa Rivers was disappointed and Goreski thought there were “too many elements altogether” in the dress. “Wearing white is dangerous, especially when you got hot sauce in your bag,” Margaret Cho said alluding to the lyric in Beyoncé’s new song “Formation.”
Rivers referred to Lady Gaga as the “saving grace of The Grammys.” She definitely brought the drama in a custom Marc Jacobs outfit in honor of David Bowie.
Most of them loved this look and agreed it was a work of art. Goreski thought her red carpet and performance outfits were “flawless.” “I kept thinking, God, Bowie would have loved that jacket for himself,” Rivers said.
Demi Lovato arrived at The Grammys in a Norisol Ferrari black jacket and skirt. Rancic loved her in this menswear trend where she looked very confident and strong with barely any makeup.
Rivers commented on how spectacular her jewelry was throughout the night. She wore $2.4 million worth of diamonds during her performance in the Lionel Richie tribute, Rivers said.
Grammy winner The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) and girlfriend, Bella Hadid, rocked the red carpet. Rancic thought these two were the “best dressed couple of the night.”
The Fashion Police’s overall best look was Lady Gaga. Their voted “worst” was Beyoncé.
