Zac Efron worked up a sweat while running on the set of his upcoming feature We Are Your Friends in Los Angeles.

Zac Efron Films 'We Are Your Friends'

Efron, 26, got in a workout while filming scenes for his new movie. The Neighbors actor dressed for the running scene in a faded white graphic t-shirt, gray gym shorts, orange sneakers and striped socks. Listening to music, Efron donned a pair of over-ear headphones as he hit the L.A. sidewalks.

In We Are Your Friends, Efron plays an aspiring electronic dance music DJ named Cole on the cusp of making it big in the industry. In order to get his big break, he’ll need to produce a hit song that’ll take over the radio.

Also starring in the drama is The Hunger Games actor Wes Bentley. Bentley will play a successful veteran of the EDM scene that becomes a mentor to Cole. Emily Ratajkowski, best known for appearing in the music video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” will play Efron’s character’s love interest in the movie. Max Joseph is directing the picture.

After wrapping We Are Your Friends, Efron will begin filming thriller The Associate. In the film, adapted from the John Grisham novel of the same name and directed by Adrian Lyne, Efron will play Kyle McAvoy. After graduating at the top of his Yale Law School class, Kyle gets wrapped up in dangerous multi-billion dollar case during his first job as a prestige law firm.
