Zac Efron was attacked on L.A.’s Skid Row on Sunday, March 23, reportedly suffering a nasty punch in the face.

Efron Punched By Homeless Man

Efron, 26, was walking around the infamously dangerous area of L.A. after midnight on Sunday when he was punched by a homeless man. Cops on patrol nearby picked up Efron and his bodyguard as they were fighting with at least three others. Efron says he and his bodyguard ran out of gas and were waiting in their car for a two truck when the incident began. Efron apparently threw a glass bottle out of the window and it shattered close to the homeless men in question, who then confronted the movie star and his bodyguard. According to Efron, two of the men attacked his bodyguard so he tried to help, which resulted in the punch to the face.

Zac Efron's Bodyguard Claims Efron Saved His Life

TMZ reached out to Efron’s bodyguard, and the man, who wished to remain unnamed, claims that the men who attacked him stabbed him with “a spear” in the face, stomach and chest. To defend him, Efron threw a bottle of vodka at them, an act the bodyguard claims saved his life.

Efron recently went to rehab, reportedly to treat a drug addiction, and a source told HollywoodLife.com that “Zac is still in a rough spot.”

Efron has not commented on the incident, but rumors surrounding the circumstances of the attack are suggesting that Efron was “obviously intoxicated.”
