Yolanda Foster and her husband David Foster announced Tuesday that they have decided to divorce after four years of marriage.
The Fosters released a statement to confirm their divorce plans.
“Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways,” the couple told People magazine. “We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”
“We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best,” the couple’s statement continued. “I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”
Just five weeks ago, Yolanda, who has been battling Lyme disease had taken to Instagram to share a romantic picture with David at the Malibu home they had put up for sale.
“Beautiful ending to a beautiful chapter of our life,” she’d captioned the sweet snap. “Colorful memories of Love, Life and Family will live within our hearts forever…… #SaluteToMalibuMagic #ByeByeHomeSweetHome #OverAndOut.”
The marriage was the second for Foster, who has three children – Gigi, 20, Bella, 19, and Anwar, 16 – from her first marriage to Mohamed Hadid. David, who has been married a total of four times, has five daughters.
Reality TV star Yolanda and Grammy-winning songwriter Foster were married in 2011 after five years of dating.
