Yoko Ono, John Lennon’s widow, was rushed to the hospital on Friday for alarming flu-like symptoms and difficulty with speech, but has now been released, after reportedly suffering dehydration and exhaustion.

She stayed at Mount Sinai West Hospital and initial reports had suggested that she suffered a stroke. Elliot Mintz, a long time friend and rep of Ono’s, refuted these rumors on Facebook on Friday.

Today, her son, Sean Lennon (her son with late Beatles singer, John Lennon) confirmed this.

Ono turned 83 this month. Her career as an experimental artist was commemorated in New York’s Museum of Modern Art last year, as her ideas influenced the city’s art in the 60s and her work has spanned more than five decades. Lennon once said that she was “the world’s most famous unknown artist: everybody knows her name but nobody knows what she does.”
