The next installment in the X-Men film series, X-Men Apocalypse, released its first trailer on Friday to the appeal of fans and mass audiences alike. Now, the first official theatrical poster has been revealed.
Posting on his Instagram page, director Bryan Singer shared an image of the villain Apocalypse crushing a human skull with the caption “Only The Strong Will Survive” followed by a caption of his own stating he would be hosting a Q&A about the new upcoming X-Men movie.
A consensus of the plot goes by Apocalypse (portrayed by Oscar Isaac), being the first mutant in the ancient world as well as being invincible and immortal, awakes after several millennia to a world that needs to be changed in his eyes. He acquires Four Horsemen to help rid of humanity and to build a new society, forcing Charles Xavier (portrayed by James McAvoy) and Raven/Mystique (portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence) to lead a young team of X-Men to save humanity from the clutches of the Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen.
X-Men Apocalypse will be released in theaters on May 27, 2016. You can view the trailer for the upcoming film below.
