Ronda Rousey is facing consequences for her aggressive attack on a referee during the Saturday Summerslam event in Nashville, Tennessee. The WWE star has been fined an undisclosed amount and suspended indefinitely, the organization said in a statement.

The organization also noted that this meant she would no longer be appearing in this week’s Friday Night Smackdown.

The former MMA fighter signed to WWE in 2018 and is the only woman to become champion in both the UFC and WWE circuits.

WWE uploaded a clip of Rousey attacking the referee Dan Engler to YouTube. To be honest, the interaction looked as pre-rehearsed and written as the actual fights. But apparently this occurred after she lost to Liv Morgan to a questionable call by Engler, and Rousey was genuinely enraged.

After flipping the ref over and grappling him in an armbar move, a suited official gets on stage, briefly speaking with Rousey who promptly releases Engler.

“An irate Rousey attacked the official after her SmackDown Women’s Title Match, claiming he missed Liv Morgan tapping out to the Armbar while he counted the pinfall,” the statement from the WWE also read.
