WWE Confirms Talks With Hulk Hogan About Possible Return
Discussion between the WWE and Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, have been confirmed, though there is no contract between them just yet.
WWE had fired Hogan after he was caught using racist language in a sex tape that resurfaced in 2015. The tape was from 2006 and was published by The National Enquirer. It depicted Hogan ranting about his daughter Brooke’s ex-boyfriend, who was African-American. The tape was secretly filmed by Bubba the Love Sponge, whose wife was sleeping Hogan back then. The sex tape was then be published online by Gawker making the whole scandal national news.
Three years later after being fired, rumors have been surfacing that Hogan was open to making a comeback to the world of wrestling. Hogan posted a photo of him relaxing in a hammock with the caption, “dreaming about WM18.”

The WWE has revealed that they have been in contact with Hogan, but they are only still in the talking phase, nothing has been confirmed yet. The only thing they have said is what Hogan can do to “help others learn from his mistakes.”
“We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (a.k.a. Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE,” the company said in a statement.
Despite being fired and removed from the WWE Hall of Fame, Hogan is rumored to be attending the WWE-related premiere of the documentary Andre the Giant. The event takes place in Los Angeles next Thursday. If he does attend, it would be the first time Hogan has gone at a WWE event since the scandal.
