The first season of World of Dance has come to a close, and the finale saw dancers Eva Igo, Swing Latino, and Les Twins dancing for their lives.

WORLD OF DANCE FINALE RECAP

On Tuesday, after judges Jennifer LopezDerek Hough, and Ne-Yo locked in their scores, the $1 million prize winner was revealed to be Les Twins. Brothers Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois danced their hearts out to “Stole the Show” by Kygo and “Scream” by Michael and Janet Jackson.

They only ended with a score two-tenths of a point better than the impressive 14-year-old Igo, who proved she could play with the big kids in theJunior Division. She beat out Swing Latino by half of a point at the end of the night, giving fierce performances to a cover of Phil Collins‘ “In the Air Tonight” and Sia‘s “Alive.”

Swing Latino, who dominated the Team Division, worked their butts off with their unique sparkles and gravity defiance, but ultimately it placed them in third. They performed to DLG’s “Quimbara” and then “Conga” by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine.

Host Jenna Dewan Tatum announced the winner after each group danced twice, and the judges tallied up their scores. The dancers were able to choose the song for their first performance, but were at the loving mercy of their designated mentor for the second. Les Twins dominated the first round, scoring a 93, while Swing and Igo scored a 91.7 and 91, respectively. In the second round, Igo took the top average with 96.3, but it wasn’t enough. With Les Twins and Swing Latino both earning a 94.7 in the second round, the French brothers just barely won over the teen.

In the end if was Les Twins on top with 93.8, Igo with 93.6, and Swing Latino with 93.2.
