Woody Allen’s Proposed Memoir Gets Little Interest From Publishers

Director Woody Allen has been shopping around for publishers for his new memoir, but he has been met with an overwhelming negative response.

There were days when celebrities would covet roles in any of Allen’s movies, but in light of the #MeToo movement, many stars now say they regret working with him.

Now it appears he is losing stature all all around.

In the last year, Allen has tried to sell a memoir to multiple publishers, which in the past would have probably created a bidding war for six or seven figures given his status. But, with his career all but derailed due to allegations that he molested his daughter Dylan Farrow nearly three decades ago, his prospects as author – and director – look dim.
