Woman Collapses On Ryan Seacrest Live On National TV After Winning $1 Million Powerball Prize

In Dick Clark‘s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest on ABC, Pamela Bradshaw, one of the winners of the Powerball’s First Millionaire of the Year drawing, collapsed after she won on the live television broadcast.

As the clock struck midnight, confetti showered the stage, and Seacrest announced Bradshaw as the winner. Bradshaw’s elation got the better of her, and she immediately collapsed to the ground, which prompted her daughter and Seacrest to rush to her aid.

Moments later, Bradshaw leaped to her feet, repeatedly exclaiming, “Oh my God,” and embraced Seacrest. Some viewers even claimed that she appeared to kiss him in all the commotion.

“Pamela… first time here in New York City, and you’re walking away in the new year a millionaire,” Seacrest remarked to Bradshaw. “The Powerball first millionaire of the year. Can you speak any sentences of excitement?”

Still overwhelmed with emotion, Bradshaw managed to express her gratitude through tears, and said, “Thank you God. I’m so blessed. I’m so blessed.” The incredible moment quickly went viral as users commented on the unexpected turn of events. One person wrote, “A lady won a million dollars, passed out, and made out with Ryan Seacrest on TV… what a night!”

Another individual shared, “Lmaooo ok but honestly this would probably also be me if I won a million dollars out of nowhere.”

Meanwhile, a third user humorously remarked, “Damn. That lady almost killed Seacrest. Lol #PowerballRockinEve.” Others praised Bradshaw’s exuberance, with one person stating, “This #PowerBallRockinEve winner tackling Ryan Seacrest was worth staying up for.”

Bradshaw is the second consecutive New Year’s Eve Powerball winner from North Carolina. The five finalists, which included Bradshaw, won a VIP trip for two to New York City to attend the drawing in person. They were selected at random to participate in Powerball’s First Millionaire of the Year drawing after they entered the national Powerball promotion through participating lotteries across the United States. State-based lotteries held second-chance drawings and contests to assemble a national pool of entrants.

In a press release, Bradshaw shared that winning the trip was her first experience flying on a plane. She expressed her desire to use the prize money to purchase a new home.

“I would love to have my own home that is mine and that I feel safe in… I can have my own house and fix it up pretty and clean and feel safe,” she said. “Not anything fancy or big, just a little cottage or something with one or two bedrooms.”
