A new Wizarding World Of Harry Potter theme park is set to open in Universal Studios Hollywood this April and the studio has just released a trailer that gives fans their first glimpse at what to expect from the attraction.
Having already established Wizarding Worlds in Orlando, Fl and Osaka, Japan, Warner Bros. is now waving their magic wand over Tinseltown and bringing the boy wizard’s world to life with numerous replica rides, shops and restaurants sure to delight the beloved character’s west coast fan base.
production designer Stuart Craig told USA Today, “Opening in Hollywood will be the Wizarding World’s ultimate test. Hollywood understands what this takes and will be our most informed critic.”
Craig has worked on all eight Harry Potter films and helped oversee development on each Wizarding World attraction to date. Developers revealed the park is now in its final “dress-making details stage.”
Rides will include roller coaster ‘Flight of the Hippogriff’ and pièce de résistance, ‘Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,’ a sprawling interactive journey housed inside a replica of the iconic Hogwarts castle.
The park is set to open its door April 7.
