The cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice made waves at the 2024 Venice Film Festival as they arrived by boat for a star-studded photo call.
Vets Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton were joined by newcomer Jenna Ortega and co-stars Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci. Director Tim Burton was also in attendance.
The film, set to hit theaters on September 6, revisits the supernatural world first introduced in the 1988 classic. The story follows three generations of the Deetz family returning to Winter River after a family tragedy. Lydia, played by Ryder, finds her life upended when her teenage daughter Astrid, portrayed by Ortega, stumbles upon a mysterious town model in the attic. This discovery inadvertently opens a portal to the afterlife, allowing the return of Beetlejuice.
The photo call offered a glimpse of the film’s eclectic style, with the cast showcasing a range of designer looks. Ortega donned an ensemble by Paul Smith, while O’Hara opted for Petar Petrov. Bellucci chose Dolce & Gabbana for the occasion, and Ryder accessorized with Jimmy Choo sunglasses.
Theroux and his partner, Nicole Brydon Bloom, took the opportunity to show off her new engagement ring.
