Willow Smith Brings Dad Will Smith To Chanel Show

Willow Smith brought her movie star father Will Smith as her date to the Chanel Couture Show in Paris Tuesday.

Willow, who is a new Chanel ambassador and face of Chanel eyewear, posed between her dad and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld at the fashion event. Willow brought the color in a teal Chanel pantsuit and white and burgundy brogues. Will rocked a sleek all-black outfit, while Lagerfeld went with his customary black suit and wide tie with a white shirt to match his ponytail.

Speaking of her outfit at the event, Willow revealed that she’d picked it out herself. “I went to the Chanel house and looked at a few options. I love leather. It looks like another take on a motorcycle suit but I thought it was very youthful, and the gloves are super futuristic,” she told The Telegraph.

Willow also talked about what it means for her to be named a Chanel ambassador.

“It’s not every day that a 15 year-old black girl with dreads gets elected to be the Chanel ambassador. I know a lot of girls that look like me feel that they’re not beautiful and feel like they don’t have a place in the media or a place in the world,” Willow said. “I want them to know that’s not true, and if you’re confident and you love yourself, then everything you see, your perception, will start to change and you’ll see things differently. I want to show those girls that might not think they’re beautiful (that) they are.”
