Will Smith Denies Connection To Indicted Rap Mogul Sean Combs: ‘I Ain’t Been Nowhere Near That Man’

Will Smith publicly denied rumors linking him to Sean Combs during a concert at The Observatory North Park near San Diego on Friday. Combs is currently facing federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, as well as multiple civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct.

“I haven’t addressed any of this publicly, but I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have s— to do with Puffy, so y’all can stop all them memes,” Smith said as he took the stage during a break in the show. “I ain’t been nowhere near no d— freak-off.”

Smith’s comments refer to allegations about Combs hosting so-called “freak-offs,” which reportedly involved adult workers and assaults, as described in Cassie Ventura’s now-settled lawsuit.

Smith went on to emphasize that he has no affiliation with Combs’ alleged behavior. “I ain’t been nowhere near that man, ain’t did none of that stupid s—,” he told the crowd. “So whenever y’all hear it, if somebody say that, it’s a damn lie.”

While Smith is known for avoiding rumors and speculation, he admitted that the viral memes and accusations had pushed him to speak out. “I usually don’t respond to dumbass stuff… but that one, your memes was doing too much,” he said. “Y’all was having me mad.”

Smith’s statement follows mounting legal troubles for Combs, including his September arrest and ongoing lawsuits. Combs pleaded not guilty to federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. Prosecuting attorney Tony Buzbee has hinted at further revelations, suggesting that more high-profile names could emerge in connection with Combs’ legal battles.

Smith’s comments also come shortly after Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit alleging he and Combs assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty. Jay-Z has denied all claims, calling the lawsuit an extortion attempt.

As Combs’ legal challenges continue, Smith made it clear he wants no part in the narrative, telling fans directly: “Don’t be putting me in other people’s bulls—.”

Smith is still trying to repair his reputation after his infamous slap of Chris Rock at the 2023 Oscars.
