Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen will definitely not appear in the Full House reboot Fuller House.
Lori Loughlin, who is reprising the role of Becky Katsopolis in Fuller House, effectively put an end to speculation that Mary Kate and Ashley would appear in any capacity in the spinoff series in a recent interview
“[It’s] wrapped and they didn’t come in,” Loughlin said of season one to The Huffington Post, adding of potential future seasons, “I don’t think they’re going to make a cameo. They didn’t this season.”
Loughlin’s comments follow those made by her onscreen husband John Stamos earlier this year. “I called them up, asked them to do it. They’re onto a different phase of their lives,” he said on Watch What Happens Live. “They haven’t acted in a long time, but everything is super sweet between us.”
Though the twin sisters won’t be back as the precocious Michelle Tanner, much of the rest of the cast from the original 90s series are back and are having a blast together.
“After you got over the initial surreal experience of like, ‘Wow, we’re here again,’ we sort of fell back into line exactly as we were,” Loughlin told HuffPost. “And we had a lot of laughs and a lot of good times and it was a lot like picking up right where we left off.”
