Kelly Rowland recently announced that she’s gotten engaged to her secret longtime boyfriend – her manager Tim Witherspoon.

Rowland, whose been conspicuously rocking a massive diamond on her ring finger for a while now, officially announced her engagement on an episode of The Queen Latifah Show that’s due to air on Dec. 18.

"He put a ring on it," she said, referring to Witherspoon, the man she’s frequently been spotted out and about with. "It's been a while," she told host Queen Latifa. "We've kept it very, very low – for years, to be completely honest."

"He asked me first on Skype," Rowland admitted, "And I was like, 'We're so far away from each other.' But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Rowland Kept Engagament, Relationship A Secret

Rowland, who was in Bulgaria when Witherspoon popped the question, has been keeping quiet about the engagement for at least the last month. Latifa, for one, was happy that her friend had finally made the engagement news public. Why? She’s tired of fending off the singer and the X Factor judge’s wannabe suitors.

“All my boys got crushes on you,” Latifa explained to her guest. “So I'm like, 'She has a man, leave her alone, she's happy!"
