Who Is Shauna Sexton, Ben Affleck’s New Girlfriend?

While Ben Affleck is still technically legally married to actress Jennifer Garner and they enjoy a cordial relationship, the two have moved away from each other for romance. Affleck recently broke up with Lindsay Shookus, ending a relationship that lasted for a year. However, the Batman actor recently made a new friend, the 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton.

A source close to Sexton informed ET that her relationship with Affleck is thus far merely “light” and about “having fun,” adding how the two have only just recently met. The couple had been spotted dating at a restaurant somewhere in Malibu, California. Three days later, they were spotted driving through a Santa Monica Jack in the Box.

Born in Virginia, Sexton models for Playboy, even becoming the 2018 Miss May main lady in the magazine’s pages, although she doesn’t label herself as a model. Speaking with Playboy, Sexton explains, “It’s so cliché nowadays for people to say, ‘I’m a model.’ I need to have some sort of backup plan. Modeling is my plan B. If it takes off, I’d be stoked. You’re only outwardly pretty for so long!”

Being a full-time veterinary technician is her true job, where she works 12-hour shifts at an emergency clinic that focuses on animals of smaller breeds. She has been in this field since she was 16. “After my first experience in surgery, I realized working fast-paced and under pressure is for me,” Sexton explains. “Whatever requires me to move quickly and freely is intriguing. I love surgery more than anything.”

Sexton’s passion for animals goes beyond her profession, as she has her own dog named Otis. A Lab-Bloodhound mix, she describes Otis as her best friend and he regularly makes appearances in Sexton’s Instagram posts.

Along with her other interests, Sexton avidly works out, waking up at 5 a.m. every day to hit the gym. “If I’m not working, I’m working out. I do a lot of high-interval training and incorporate cardio,” she notes. When discussing what she looks for in a man, she stresses that a good sense of humor is essential, saying, “I need someone who can keep up with my sarcasm or it’s just not going to work.” Finally, Sexton’s favorite drinks are whiskey, bourbon and soda.
