Chance the Rapper announced on Wednesday that he will soon marry his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Katrina Corley.
While plenty of people celebrate on the fourth of July, Chance has more reason to than most; he asked the loaded question to his girlfriend, who enthusiastically said yes. The couple’s two-year-old daughter Kensli was present for the moment, walking towards her parents as Chance proposed.
Chance quickly took to Twitter to publicly announce the happy news.
Corley started dating Chance back in 2013, although the two were briefly separated in 2016 while Chance was trying to legally obtain full custody of their daughter. Chance, whose legal name is Chancelor Bennett, and Corley are both 25-years-old.

Chance is truly smitten with his now-fiancé, having posted a tribute to her for her birthday on Instagram last month. “From the beginning beginning to the end end,” he wrote. “You are my oldest and best friend. You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe.” Chance also thanked her in his first ever Grammy acceptance speech last year.
As Billboard reports, Corley, a Gemini, used to be a professional model, appearing in a 2014 photo shoot donning clothing by Alexander Wang. Chance also tweeted a more lighthearted jingle once, mentioning her six-foot build and how she used to play basketball.
