David Boudia‘s life has been going just swimmingly — not only did he leave his first Olympics ever with one bronze medal in the synchronized platform event with diving partner Nick McCrory, as well as take home the gold in his individual platform event in London, but he’s also getting married … and the lucky lady is Sonnie Brand, who said yes to Boudia when he popped the question in May 2012.

After Boudia, 23, who was not yet an Olympic champion, and Brand got engaged, Boudia took to Twitter to post the above photo of the two, holding his new fiancee’s hand up so that her engagement ring would be prominently displayed. “I am officially engaged!!!” he tweeted. “Can’t wait to spend my life with you @snunnie!”

Brand also expressed her feelings about partner and Boudia on Twitter right after he won the gold medal in London. “@davidboudia definitely redefined his journey in so many ways! For one by ripping dives and taking Gold! So proud. So thankful. God is good!”

Boudia returned home to Indiana and Brand less than a day ago after making the interview rounds in the Big Apple. “NYC it’s been real!” Boudia tweeted. “HOME BABY!” Next up? Boudia and Brand will get to take some time to plan their wedding, reports Mstarz.com.
