The latest edition of The Bachelorette premiered last night, which means there are probably a lot of you who want to know what this season’s star, Becca Kufrin, is all about. If you’re a Bachelor/Bachelorette devotee, then you probably already know that she won the The Bachelor Season 22 just a few months ago, but then Arie Luyendyk Jr. broke off their engagement and announced that he was more in love with runner-up Lauren Burnham.

After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a B.S. in Mass Communication, Kufrin started working at Skyya Communications, a Minneapolis-based technology PR agency. Her former company has shown her their support via Instagram:

She also has the support of Minnesota State Representative Drew Christiansen, who in the wake of the engagement call-off, introduced a bill to ban Luyendyk from the state of Minnesota.

When fans raised over $6,000 for Kufrin, she donated the money to Stand Up to Cancer. The disease has had a big impact on her life, as her father passed away from brain cancer when she was 19, and her mother is a breast cancer survivor.

If her Instagram is valid evidence, then she is clearly a lover of animals, especially her sister Emily’s corgi, Max. She also appears to have a thing for cats and ducks.

Speaking of sisterhood, Kufrin will be serving as maid of honor at Emily’s wedding this fall. According to a fun fact listed on the wedding website, “Becca can beat online solitaire in 42 seconds!” So that could very well come in handy for impressing this season’s contestants.

As for how things now stand with Luyendyk, Kufrin has opted for forgiveness. She told People that she wishes him and Lauren the best, adding, “as weird as it sounds, I can only thank him, because it allowed me to go on this new journey to find the person who is a much better fit!”
