Abby Lee Miller, the Dance Moms star, is back on the show to a warm welcome after legal issues and a battle with cancer.
In the last year, the coach spent time in prison on bankruptcy fraud charges before learning that she had Burkitt’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that attacks the lymphatic system, which is uncommon in adults.
Miller, who is now paralyzed below the waist and wheelchair-bound, returned to the show the same way she left, relentless and candidly honest. In the past, this earned her a bad rep with other coaches, but upon her return they were able to see her in a different light. This time around they praised her honesty and hard work.
While in the dance studio, Miller kept repeating “Everyone is replaceable,” drawing from her own experiences in the past year and a half. “I think what makes it worse is knowing that so many people still want to see her fail,” said one of the moms on the show.

“It’s kind of sad actually, she’s gone through so much,” said another mom. “Losing her team and going through her trial and jail, and then as soon as she gets out to learn that she’s got cancer.”
Fans of the show took to Twitter to throw a celebratory party rather than a pity party for Miller.
Dance Moms airs Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
