Wes Scantlin, the lead singer for Puddle of Mudd, was arrested Sunday on a rural highway in Minnesota.
Scantlin, 43, was driving through Renville County and allegedly reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour when police tried to pull him over, reported TMZ. The singer then reportedly led the authorities on a car chase. When Scantlin was caught, he was given a preliminary breath test and registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.31 – nearly four times the legal limit.
On Monday, Scantlin appeared in court to face his charges, which included the felony of fleeing police in a motor vehicle, refusing to submit to a chemical test and DWI.
Scantlin was last in trouble with the law earlier this year when he was arrested for trespassing at Denver International Airport for riding on a baggage carousel.
The “She Hates Me” singer was arrested on a domestic violence charge in 2013 and was booked for a felony for possession of a controlled substance in 2012.
