‘Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s’ Star Tim Norman Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murder-For-Hire Plot

Former Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s reality star Tim Norman was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday.

The decision comes six months after the St. Louis soul food restaurant manager was convicted of killing his nephew through murder-for-hire.

In September 2022, Norman was found guilty of committing murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in the March 2016 shooting of his nephew Andre Montgomery. Norman took out a life insurance policy of $450,000 on Montgomery and then made active plans for his 20-year-old nephew’s murder.

At the sentencing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angie Danis said Norman was vastly different from his personality onscreen. “The measure of someone’s character is what they do when they think no one is watching. When he thought no one was watching, he planned the execution of his nephew and carried it out.”

Last week, Norman posted on Instagram “#innocent” with a screenshotted statement that thanked his supporters for their prayers and expressed his disbelief at how the trial was conducted.

Norman’s three co-conspirators – Travell Anthony Hill, Terica Taneisha Ellis and Waiel Rebhi Yaghnam – all acknowledged their actions and pleaded guilty to Montgomery’s murder.

Hill, who was paid $5000 for shooting Montgomery, was sentenced to 32 years in prison. Ellis was paid $10,000 after locating Montgomery and received three years in prison. Yaghnam, who helped Norman file the life insurance policy claim, was also sentenced to three years.
